To shrink a volume on Windows, start by pressing Win + R to open Windows Run. Then, enter compmgmt.msc in the Run text box and press Enter to open Computer Management. In the Storage section of the left panel, select Disk Management. In the right panel, right-click the volume you want to shrink and select Shrink Volume.The problem: You cannot extend C: over the free space, because it is not really free. That space is included in the extended partition (the green rectangle), so it is not considered as free outside of the extended partition. Move J: and K: left to the top of the extended partition so that the free space is at the end of the extended partition.
